Brian Tompkins will be entering his ninth year as the Co-Director of the
East Coast Soccer Academy. He recently completed his fourteenth season as
head Coach of Yale University. In 2005 Tompkins led the Bulldogs to an Ivy League Championship and a trip to the NCAA College Cup Tournament. During his tenure the Bulldogs have had eight winning seasons, compiling a record of 119-97-25 including a school record 13 wins in 1999 and two trips to the NCAA tournament.


Prior to Yale, Coach Tompkins was the head coach at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where in seven seasons his teams won two conference titles and reached the 1990 NCAA tournament. Recent Yale graduates have been selected in the MLS draft and former players Brian Roberts and Ryan Raybould both recently played with the Kansas City Wizards. Jay Alberts and Matt Schmidt also played professionally with A League's Minnesota Thunder and Schmidt was a member of the MSL Champion Milwaukee Wave indoor team. Tompkins has also coached players who have gone on to represent the USA National Team including 2002 World Cup star Tony Sanneh and former Olympian Manny Lagos, both of whom are two-time MLS title winners. Coach Tompkins holds a US Soccer Federation A License.




Geoff Wheeler will be heading into his twelfth season at Wesleyan and
his ninth year as the co-director of the East Coast Soccer Academy.
In 2009, Wesleyan enjoyed one of its most successful campaigns in its rich 85 year history.  An undefeated regular season, including a NESCAC league title, concluded with the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16.  Wheeler earned NESCAC Coach of the Year honors as well as being named the New England NSCAA/Mundo Coach of the Year. 

Before arriving at Wesleyan, Wheeler spent two years as an assistant a Stanford University where he helped guide the team to an appearance in the 1998 Division I NCAA Championship game. A four-year letter-winner at Dartmouth College, his teams won two Ivy League Championships and made two NCAA quarterfinal appearances in 1990 and 1992.  He has played professionally in Zimbabwe as well as the A-League and former USISL.  He currently holds his USSF A license and a Premier Diploma from the NSCAA.
